Do I have to be the root user to use SBAdmin?

I would like to have user’s without ‘root’ access to manage SBAdmin backups. Is this possible?

ANSWER

When a non-root user executes a SBAdmin command, they will be prompted for a username and password in order to run the command. The username is specific to the SBAdmin application and is not related the system users.

SBAdmin users may be defined with specific roles that limit the operations they may perform when using the application from the command-line, GUI, or web interface.

SBAdmin users are fully documented in the SBAdmin User’s Guide.
