Support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15
SBAdmin first claimed support for SUSE 15.0 at v8.2.7.1 (09/19/18). During the validation process of the distribution, it was found that a default installation of SLES 15.0 did not include the necessary packages to support SBAdmin.
You should ensure the following packages are installed before installing the SBAdmin software:
- libncurses5 (required)
This package is necessary to support the SBAdmin recovery menus. You will be unable to install the SBAdmin software without this package. Note that the “libncurses5” package is only available through zypper by adding the “Legacy Module”. For example:# SUSEConnect –product sle-module-legacy/15/x86_64 - binutils (required for PPCLE)
This package provides the ‘ld’, ‘objcopy’, and ‘readelf’ commands, which are necessary for PPCLE hosts to create boot media. - mkisofs (optional)
This package provides the ‘mkisofs’ command, and is only necessary if you wish to create CDROM boot media. - nfs-client (optional)
This package provides NFS client support, and is only necessary if you wish to use NFS. - perl-CGI (optional)
This package provides CGI support for ‘perl’, and is only necessary if you wish to use the Web Interface.
