Why does SBAdmin report “Out of space in the filesystem” during backup?

When I run a backup to my AIX server, Storix is reporting the following error:

“Out of space in the filesystem. The backup is incomplete.”

The “df” output on both the client and server do not show any filesystems full.

The problem may be in the size of the files that the AIX backup server or the target filesystem can handle. The “ulimit” should be set to “unlimited” to handle files larger than 2GB. And when creating the filesystem it must be a “Large File Enabled Journaled File System”.
